Three Reasons and Causes for Male Infertility

Even if for the first time, men tend to send their partners to the doctor, considering it the leading cause of infertility, male infertility can be considered just as frequent as female infertility.

What’s worst is that it’s many times irreversible.

Experts believe that after a year of repeated attempts, it’s good for both partners to seek medical attention in order to carry out special investigations to detect the real cause of infertility.

Causes of male infertility are quite numerous, causing the irrecoverable failure of the couple to ever have children.

Here are some common causes of male infertility

  1. 1. Improper administration of medications during pregnancy — The male fetus is more sensitive when it is in the womb than the female fetus. Therefore, mothers taking anti-inflammatory drugsĀ  during pregnancy can cause infertility for their boys at adult life;
  2. 2. High consumption of alcohol — A glass of wine once in a while is not a tragedy, but when it’s consumed regularly and in high enough quantities, men are likely to become infertile as sperm no longer remains viable: not able to fertilize the egg;
  3. 3. Excessive smoking – A vice which covers almost the entire population, smoking is extremely dangerous especially for those who consume large enough quantities of cigarettes a day. Sperm quality will have to suffer, which will result in male infertility.

Ladies, are you taking care of your husbands/boyfriends?

You’d better if you want to have a child with them.
